Frequently Asked Questions
-
What can I use Zesty Italian Seasoning on?
-
It’s especially delicious on chicken and French fries! You can also use it on roasted potatoes, vegetables, pasta, pork, seafood, garlic bread, and more.
-
Is Zesty Italian Seasoning the same as Italian seasoning?
-
No. Traditional Italian seasoning is usually an herb-only blend. This Zesty Italian Seasoning includes garlic, onion, salt, sugar, pepper, herbs, and celery salt for a bolder, more complete seasoning.
-
How much Zesty Italian Seasoning should I use?
-
Start with about 1 tablespoon per pound of meat or potatoes, then add more to taste. For French fries, sprinkle it on while they’re hot so the seasoning sticks well.
-
Can I use Zesty Italian Seasoning on chicken?
-
Absolutely. Chicken is one of my favorite ways to use it. Season the chicken before cooking and add a little more after cooking if you want an extra punch of flavor.
-
Can I use this seasoning on French fries?
-
Yes! It’s especially good on French fries. Sprinkle it over freshly cooked fries while they’re still hot and toss well to coat.
-
Why does this recipe make such a large batch?
-
This is my big-batch recipe because I use it often. It fills about a quart jar, so there’s always plenty ready to grab when I’m cooking.
-
How should I store Zesty Italian Seasoning?
-
Keep it tightly sealed in its jar in a cool, dry place away from heat and moisture. Give the jar a good shake before using if the seasonings settle.
