Choose your preferred method and enjoy this classic Irish dish! Corn Beef and Cabbage Share Don’t forget to check out my Instagram account – Or give me a follow on Facebook or see what I am pinning on Pinterest or Twitter ! This corn beef and cabbage is made with bacon, and is out of this world good! It may be the most famous dish to eat on St. Patrick's Day, but this Irish-American corned beef recipe is a favorite at our table all year long. I don't use the seasoning packet that comes with corn beef because biting down on hard round pepper with tender meat is not my ideal meal LOL. Make it in the crock pot or instant pot, we have directions for both Enjoy!~ You Will Need 2.53 Pound Corn Beef 4 Cups Chicken Broth 1/2 Pound Bacon 2 TBSP Minced Garlic 1 tsp Onion Powder 1 tsp Salt 1/2 tsp Pepper 6 Red Medium Potatoes 3 Cups Baby Carrots 1 Lg Onion (quartered) 1 Medium Head Cabbage Thank you so much for supporting my site How to make Instant Pot Corn Beef and Cabbage Start by adding the chicken broth to your Instant Pot. If your broth is frozen, you can use the "Sauté" function to melt it. Stir occasionally until it's fully thawed. Add the corned beef, bacon, minced garlic, onion powder, salt, and pepper to the Instant Pot with the broth. Place the lid on the Instant Pot, ensuring that it's set to the "Sealing" position, not "Venting." Select the "Manual" or "Pressure Cook" function and set the timer for 90 minutes. When the timer goes off, allow the pressure valve to release naturally (NR), which means waiting for the pressure to drop on its own. This may take some time. Once the pressure valve has dropped, carefully do a quick release to release any remaining pressure. Carefully remove the corned beef from the Instant Pot and transfer it to a plate. It will be very tender, so be gentle. Leave the bacon in the cooking liquid, and cut it into small pieces. Cover the corned beef with aluminum foil and let it rest for about 10 minutes. While the corned beef is resting, prepare the vegetables. Quarter the cabbage, chop the red potatoes, measure the carrots, and quarter the onion. Add all the prepared vegetables to the Instant Pot with the cooking juices from the corned beef and bacon. Place the lid back on the Instant Pot and set the timer for 10 minutes. Once the timer is done, do a quick release to release the pressure. While the vegetables are cooking, slice the rested corned beef into thin slices. Transfer the sliced corned beef to a serving platter, placing it in the center. Arrange the cooked vegetables around the corned beef on the serving platter. Drizzle some of the cooking juices over the corned beef and vegetables for added flavor. Serve your delicious Instant Pot Corned Beef and Cabbage and enjoy your meal! Thank you so much for supporting my site How to make Oven Corn Beef and Cabbage Preheat your oven to 325°F (163°C). In a large, oven-safe roasting pan or Dutch oven, place the 2.53 pounds of Corned Beef. Add the 4 cups of Chicken Broth to the roasting pan, ensuring that it partially covers the corned beef. Lay the 1/2 pound of Bacon over the top of the corned beef. Sprinkle 2 tablespoons of Minced Garlic, 1 teaspoon of Onion Powder, 1 teaspoon of Salt, and 1/2 teaspoon of Pepper over the bacon and corned beef. Cover the roasting pan or Dutch oven with a lid or tightly with aluminum foil. Place the covered roasting pan in the preheated oven. Roast for 2.5 to 3 hours, or until the corned beef is tender and can be easily pierced with a fork. The cooking time may vary based on the size and thickness of the meat, so check it periodically. While the corned beef is roasting, prepare the vegetables. Quarter the Cabbage, chop the 6 Red Medium Potatoes, measure the 3 cups of Baby Carrots, and quarter the Large Onion. After the corned beef has roasted for the required time, carefully remove it from the oven. Add the prepared vegetables (cabbage, potatoes, carrots, and onion) to the roasting pan around the corned beef. Cover the roasting pan again with the lid or foil. Return the pan to the oven and roast for an additional 45 minutes to 1 hour, or until the vegetables are tender. Carefully remove the roasting pan from the oven. Transfer the corned beef to a serving platter and slice it. Serve the sliced corned beef along with the roasted vegetables and bacon. Enjoy your homemade oven-roasted Corned Beef and Cabbage! Thank you so much for supporting my site How to make Crock Pot Corn Beef and Cabbage Start by placing the 2.53 pounds of Corned Beef in the bottom of your slow cooker (crock pot). Add the 4 cups of Chicken Broth to the slow cooker. Cover the slow cooker with the lid. Set your slow cooker to the low-heat setting and cook for approximately 7-8 hours. Alternatively, you can cook it on the high-heat setting for about 4-5 hours. The cooking time may vary depending on your slow cooker and the size of the corned beef. While the corned beef is cooking in the slow cooker, prepare the vegetables. Quarter the Cabbage, chop the 6 Red Medium Potatoes, measure the 3 cups of Baby Carrots, and quarter the Large Onion. About 1.5 to 2 hours before the corned beef is done cooking, add the prepared vegetables to the slow cooker. Cover the slow cooker with the lid again and continue cooking until the vegetables are tender. When the cooking time is complete and the corned beef is tender, remove it from the slow cooker and slice it. Serve the sliced corned beef alongside the cooked vegetables and bacon. Enjoy your homemade Slow Cooker Corned Beef and Cabbage! This slow cooker method will give you a tender and flavorful Corned Beef and Cabbage with minimal effort.

Prepping the Chicken: Start with the 10-pound bag of Chicken Leg Quarters. You have the option to cook them whole or cut them into separate drumsticks and thighs. If you choose to cut them, use a sharp kitchen knife to cut between the leg and the thigh, going all the way around. To help the chicken cook evenly and intensify the flavors, use a pair of kitchen scissors to break the bone at the joint by applying pressure with the handles of the scissors. Creating the Seasoning Mix: In a mixing bowl, combine 2 tablespoons of Onion Powder, 2 tablespoons of Garlic Powder, 4 tablespoons of Country Bob's Seasoning Salt, and 2 teaspoons of Pepper. Mix these seasonings well to create a flavorful rub. Seasoning the Chicken: Lay out the chicken pieces on the foil-lined baking sheets, making sure there's some space between each piece. Sprinkle the seasoning mix generously on both sides of the chicken. Be sure to use all the seasoning mix evenly to coat the chicken pieces with flavor. Baking the Chicken: Place the baking sheets with the seasoned chicken in the preheated oven. Bake for 30 minutes. Flipping and Rotating: After the initial 30 minutes of baking, carefully flip the chicken pieces over. Additionally, switch the positions of the baking sheets in the oven, placing the one on the top rack on the bottom, and vice versa. This step ensures even cooking and browning. Continued Baking: Continue to bake the chicken for another 30 minutes or until it reaches an internal temperature of 165°F (74°C) and the skin is golden brown and crispy. Serve and Enjoy: Once the chicken is done, remove it from the oven and let it rest for a few minutes. Then, serve up this outstanding, juicy, and flavorful oven-roasted chicken. It pairs wonderfully with canned Parmesan corn for an easy, delicious meal that your family will love. Enjoy your homemade Oven-Roasted Seasoned Chicken Leg Quarters! Thank you so much for supporting my site Roasted Chicken Variations Lemon-Herb Chicken: Add the zest and juice of one lemon to the seasoning mix. Include fresh herbs like rosemary, thyme, or oregano for a fresh, citrusy flavor. Spicy Cajun Chicken: Mix in Cajun seasoning or a blend of cayenne pepper, paprika, and garlic powder for a spicy kick. Honey Mustard Glazed Chicken: In the last 10 minutes of baking, brush the chicken with a mixture of honey and Dijon mustard for a sweet and tangy glaze. Asian-Inspired Chicken: Create an Asian-inspired marinade with soy sauce, ginger, garlic, and a touch of sesame oil for an umami-packed flavor profile. Mediterranean Chicken: Season with Mediterranean spices like cumin, coriander, and smoked paprika. Serve with tzatziki sauce and a Greek salad. BBQ Chicken: Use your favorite BBQ sauce as a glaze during the last 10-15 minutes of baking for a smoky, barbecue flavor. Italian Herb Chicken: Mix together Italian seasoning, dried basil, oregano, and grated Parmesan cheese for a taste of Italy. Teriyaki Chicken: Marinate the chicken in a teriyaki sauce (store-bought or homemade) for a sweet and savory twist. Maple-Mustard Glazed Chicken: Create a glaze using maple syrup and Dijon mustard for a sweet and tangy flavor combination. Indian-Spiced Chicken: Use a blend of Indian spices like curry powder, turmeric, and garam masala for a flavorful, aromatic dish. Lime and Chipotle Chicken: Add chipotle powder and lime juice to the seasoning mix for a smoky, citrusy flavor. Garlic Parmesan Chicken: Mix in grated Parmesan cheese and minced garlic with the seasoning for a cheesy, garlicky crust. Herb-Butter Basted Chicken: Rub the chicken with a mixture of softened butter and fresh herbs like thyme, rosemary, and parsley before roasting. Sesame Ginger Chicken: Create a marinade with soy sauce, ginger, garlic, sesame oil, and sesame seeds for an Asian-inspired flavor. Pesto Chicken: Coat the chicken with pesto sauce (store-bought or homemade) before roasting for a burst of basil and garlic. Thank you so much for supporting my site Roasted Chicken Tips Preparation is Key: Ensure your chicken leg quarters are properly thawed if they were frozen. Thawing them in the refrigerator is the safest method. Cutting the Chicken: If you choose to cut the leg quarters, use a sharp knife and be cautious to avoid any accidents. Alternatively, you can leave them whole for easier preparation. Seasoning: Mix the seasoning thoroughly to ensure an even distribution of flavors across the chicken. Baking Sheet Placement: When arranging the chicken on the baking sheets, try not to overcrowd them. Leave some space between the pieces to allow for even cooking and browning. Use a Meat Thermometer: To ensure the chicken is fully cooked, use a meat thermometer. The internal temperature of the chicken should reach 165°F (74°C). Crispy Skin: If you prefer an even crispier skin, you can broil the chicken for a couple of minutes after baking to achieve that golden finish. Resting Time: Allow the chicken to rest for a few minutes after removing it from the oven. This helps to retain its juices and ensures a more tender result when you cut into it. Pairing Sides: Consider serving the chicken with complementary sides like roasted vegetables, mashed potatoes, or a fresh salad to create a well-balanced meal. Enjoy Leftovers: If you have leftovers, store them properly in the refrigerator and enjoy them the next day in salads, sandwiches, or wraps.

In a small bowl, mix 1 teaspoon of corn starch with 1 teaspoon of water to create a slurry. Slowly pour the slurry into the saucepan while stirring continuously to prevent lumps from forming. Continue simmering the sauce on low heat for about 5 minutes, stirring occasionally. This will allow the flavors to meld together and the sauce to thicken slightly. Optional for a thicker sauce: If you prefer a thicker consistency, mix 2 teaspoons of corn starch with 2 teaspoons of water in a separate bowl to create another slurry. Slowly pour the second slurry into the saucepan while stirring, and let the sauce simmer for an additional 2-3 minutes until it reaches your desired thickness. Remove the saucepan from the heat and let the Whisky Bourbon BBQ Sauce cool down a bit before using it. Transfer the sauce to an airtight container or jar and store it in the refrigerator for up to two weeks. Your delicious homemade Whisky Bourbon BBQ Sauce is now ready to be used on grilled meats, sandwiches, or any other dishes you desire! Enjoy! Thank you so much for supporting my site Here are some tips to help you make the most delicious Whisky Bourbon BBQ Sauce: Quality ingredients: Use high-quality ketchup, apple cider vinegar, honey, and bourbon whisky. The better the ingredients, the better the flavor of your sauce. Adjust sweetness: Taste the sauce as you go and adjust the sweetness to your preference. If you like it sweeter, add a bit more honey or brown sugar. For a tangier sauce, increase the apple cider vinegar slightly. Heat level: If you prefer a spicier BBQ sauce, you can add a pinch of cayenne pepper or a few dashes of hot sauce to the mixture. Thicker sauce: If you want a thicker sauce without using corn starch, you can let it simmer for a bit longer. The sauce will naturally reduce and thicken over time. Control the bourbon flavor: If you want a stronger bourbon flavor, you can increase the amount of bourbon whisky in the recipe. If you prefer a milder taste, reduce the amount or cook the sauce for a little longer to let the alcohol evaporate. Consistency: Remember that the sauce will thicken slightly as it cools, so don't worry if it seems a bit runny while it's still warm. Storage: Let the sauce cool completely before transferring it to an airtight container or jar for storage in the refrigerator. It will last for up to two weeks. Usage: This Whisky Bourbon BBQ Sauce is perfect for basting grilled meats, as a dipping sauce for chicken nuggets or fries, or as a marinade for various dishes. Get creative and try it on different foods! Customization: Feel free to experiment with the ingredients to suit your taste. You can add a touch of garlic powder, smoked paprika, or even some molasses for extra depth of flavor. Double the batch: If you love the sauce, consider doubling the recipe and storing it in multiple containers. It's always nice to have some extra BBQ sauce on hand for future meals. Remember, cooking is an art, and you can make this recipe your own by adding your favorite spices or adjusting the ratios to suit your taste buds. Enjoy the process and savor the delicious results! Add bite-sized chicken. Prepare the Creamy Sauce with Cheese: In a separate bowl, combine 1 cup of sour cream, 1 cup of heavy cream, 1/2 cup of shredded fiesta cheese, 2 teaspoons of garlic salt, 2 teaspoons of onion powder, 2 teaspoons of dry dill, 2 teaspoons of paprika, and optional chopped jalapeños (if desired). Thank you so much for supporting my site How to make Oven Baked Creamy Cheesy Chicken and vegetable Casserole with Potatoes Boil and Dice the Potatoes on the Stovetop: Prepare the Potatoes: Wash, peel, and dice the Russet potatoes into small, bite-sized cubes. Try to keep the potato pieces relatively uniform in size so they cook evenly. Boil the Potatoes: Place the diced potatoes in a large pot or saucepan. Add Water and Salt (Optional): Add enough water to the pot to cover the potatoes completely. If desired, season the water with a pinch of salt for added flavor. This step is optional. Boil the Potatoes: Place the pot on the stovetop over medium-high heat. Bring the water to a boil. Reduce Heat and Simmer: Once the water reaches a rolling boil, reduce the heat to medium or medium-low to maintain a gentle simmer. Cook Until Tender: Simmer the potatoes for about 10-15 minutes or until they are fork-tender. You can test the doneness by inserting a fork or knife into a potato cube; it should go in easily without resistance. Drain the Potatoes: Once the potatoes are cooked to your desired tenderness, carefully drain them in a colander or sieve to remove excess water. Cool and Use: Allow the boiled potatoes to cool for a few minutes before using them in your Creamy Cheesy Chicken and Broccoli Casserole recipe. They should be cooked and tender, ready to be combined with the other ingredients. Continue with the Casserole Recipe: Now that you have boiled and diced the potatoes, you can proceed with the rest of the casserole recipe as follows: Prepare the Creamy Sauce with Cheese: In a separate bowl, combine 1 cup of sour cream, 1 cup of heavy cream, 1/2 cup of shredded fiesta cheese, 2 teaspoons of garlic salt, 2 teaspoons of onion powder, 2 teaspoons of dry dill, 2 teaspoons of paprika, and optional chopped jalapeños (if desired). Mix until well combined. Sauce Thickener: In a small bowl, mix 2 tablespoons of cornstarch with 2 tablespoons of cold water to create a slurry. Gradually add the cornstarch slurry to the sauce mixture while stirring until combined. Combine the Ingredients: In a large mixing bowl, combine the shredded or diced chicken, boiled and diced potatoes, sautéed onions, and sautéed broccoli if you sautéed them earlier. Add the Creamy Sauce: Pour the creamy sauce mixture over the combined ingredients and gently mix until everything is well coated with the sauce. Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Transfer to a Casserole Dish: Transfer the mixture to a large oven-safe casserole dish. Top with Cheese: Sprinkle the top with 1/2 to 1 cup of shredded fiesta cheese (or more if you like). Bake in the Oven: Place the casserole dish in the preheated oven. Bake Time: Bake for approximately 25-30 minutes or until the top is golden brown, the cheese is bubbly, and the casserole is heated through.
